Bedford supervisors name broadband among suggested strategic goals for county – Lynchburg News and Advance


BEDFORD — As supervisors set out on a long-term project to develop a strategic plan for Bedford County, the first order of business during a special-called meeting Monday night centered talking to county staff about several overall goals for the county.

Among them: developing a plan of action for the aging county administration building, deciding what to do with several vacant school buildings, and improving communication with county residents and with the Bedford County school board.

County Administrator Carl Boggess said talking to supervisors about their strategic goals for the county is part of phase one of the project.
