Iceland’s boss battles a ‘Viking’ at the firm’s Christmas do – in a stunt mocking Icelandic officials trying to ban him from using the country’s name.
Multimillionaire Malcolm Walker took to the stage in front of hundreds of Iceland Foods staff to have a sword fight with the Nordic warrior at the Viking-themed bash.
The 900-store frozen food supermarket giant is currently in a battle with the country of the same name for the right to be called ‘Iceland’, reports the Daily Post.
The sword fight – which ended with Mr Walker ‘slaying’ the Viking – came hours after representatives from his company met with Icelandic government officials in Reyjkavic with a hope of thawing relations and coming to a mutual agreement.
