Jets’ Nick Mangold Returns to Action on MNF –


No. 74 is back in the middle of things for the Green & White.

Center Nick Mangold, the Jets’ seven-time Pro Bowl center who has missed the past four games with the ankle he injured in the home win over Baltimore, is active tonight and ready to snap the ball to QB Ryan Fitzpatrick against Indianapolis at MetLife Stadium on Monday Night Football tonight.

The four-game absence is a career-long stretch for Mangold, who missed only four games due to injury in his first 10 NFL seasons combined.

Mangold will be wearing custom cleats on behalf of Answer the Call — New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund as part of the NFL’s “My Cause, My Cleats” campaign, which allows players to wear customized cleats to represent the causes most important to them.
