Nonprofits, like shelter, ask locals to dig deep

Stan, a 13-month-old mixed breed, was found on Oct. 6 running down a street in Kansas dragging a chain that was attached to his neck by wire and is currently at Roice Hurst Humane Society, 362 28 Road, where he will be available for adoption soon. The shelter is one of 24 local nonprofits that will be participating in Colorado Gives Day.
