This week we have a few Halloween-themed releases, which blows my mind, since I’m still exposing my knees to the sunlight. A glance at the best discs and digital offerings:

Release o’ the week: Universal Classic Monsters: Complete 30 Film Collection. This epic set is long overdue and includes all the scary flicks we’ll never outgrow, like Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy and Creature From the Black Lagoon. (Those who don’t wanna spring for the megapackage can purchase the flicks individually on Blu-ray.)

For No Good Reason. I enjoyed this documentary about artist Ralph Steadman, in no small part because it’s narrated by and features fellow Hunter S. Thompson enthusiast Johnny Depp.

They Came Together. David Wain helms this cute rom-com parody that stars two of the most likable folks in Hollywood, Amy Poehler and Paul Rudd.

Under the Electric Sky. This doc goes inside the electronic music fest Electric Daisy Carnival.

Dick Van Dyke Show: Classic Halloween Episodes. If you’re feeling retro and don’t want to get too scared this Halloween, this compilation might be for you.

Also out: Citizen Koch, New Girl: The Complete Third Season, Night Moves, Draft Day, Grey’s Anatomy: Complete 10th Season, R.L. Stine’s Mostly Ghostly: Have You Met My Ghoulfriend?, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: The Complete Season Nine, Cabin Fever: Patient Zero, The Originals: The Complete First Season, Person of Interest: The Complete Third Season, Chicago Fire: Season Two, Chicago P.D.: Season One, From the Rough, Moms’ Night Out, Lovejoy: The Complete Season Two

Blu-ray highlight: Remember Drew Barrymore when she was a young hellion with the Blu-ray edition of 1984’s Firestarter.

On-demand highlights: See Michael Fassbender in Frank (Sept. 5), Jason Bateman in The Longest Week (Sept. 5) and Emily Browning in God Help the Girl (Sept. 5) on most on-demand platforms.

Related news: The crowd-funded Zach Braff film Wish I Was Here arrives on Blu-ray/DVD Oct. 28.
