Parenting Inside Out: Parenting education in the justice system – St. Helens Chronicle


The Child and Family Development programs of Community Action Team (CAT) are entering a new era with Parenting Education Programs.

In collaboration with Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Community Justice, parenting education will be provided for those on parole or probation as well as corrections inmates through Justice Reinvestment Grant funds. The parent educator provides a 2.5-hour, 10-week, evidenced based curriculum, “Parenting Inside Out” in the jail, developed by the Oregon Social Learning Center.
