A Pennsylvania man accused of child abuse and fleeing from law enforcement was arrested on a warrant by Collier County sheriff’s deputies Tuesday.

Ramil Desir, 37, was arrested in Collier County on a bench warrant out of Allegheny County in Pennsylvania on suspicion of violating his probation after a child abuse investigation.

Earlier this year Desir was charged with aggravated assault, making threats with the intent of terrorizing others, endangering the welfare of a child and assault after police said he beat his daughter and choked her with a belt, according to a statement from the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office.
