CEDAR FALLS — Cedar Falls boys’ swim coach Joe Brown saw his team make a quick recovery during Tuesday’s dual against Waterloo.
Relying on depth and embracing some new challenges, the Tigers showed no signs of fatigue as they finished 1-2 in all but two individual events and won two of three relays to secure a victory over a youthful Waterloo team, 110-61, inside Holmes Junior High.
“We look energized,” Brown said. “That right there was the biggest takeaway. We swam really hard last Saturday. I was interested to see what we would look like only a couple days later.”
In total, eight different Cedar Falls swimmers contributed to at least one event win with six from that group winning multiple events.
