A shake-up at the top of Lego will see the Danish toy firm led by a British boss for the first time in its 84-year history.
Bali Padda, who spent his childhood in India playing marbles and cricket, is stepping into the shoes of current chief executive Jorgen Vig Knudstorp, who rescued the brand from near collapse in 2004.
Padda, 60, who has worked at Lego for 14 years, has never lived in Denmark and spent his early career at the company commuting from his home in Kent to the office in Billund.
