ANAHEIM – Two motorcyclists were recovering Monday from gunshot and stab wounds after an altercation the previous evening on the eastbound lanes of the 91 freeway near Tustin Avenue.
Around 5 p.m. callers began telling California Highway Patrol dispatchers of fired shots that might have involved at least two motorcyclists, said Florentino Olivera, an officer and agency spokesman.
“Upon arrival on scene, a motorcycle rider with a visible gunshot wound to his left forearm was located,” Olivera said in a statement Monday. “The rider and the unharmed female passenger were transported to a local hospital for treatment.”
About 20 minutes later, a second motorcyclist checked himself into a local hospital with a stab wound to the torso. Officers discovered that Antonio Garcia, 47, of Anaheim had a semi-automatic pistol and arrested him at the hospital on suspicion…
