The Summit at Snoqualmie – less than an hour from Seattle – opens Tuesday for skiing and snowboarding thanks to the recent storm that brought plenty of snow to the Cascades.
“We got a lot of snow (19 inches overnight), and more is forecast this week and that will get a lot more terrain open soon,” said Guy Lawrence, marketing director at the Summit at Snoqualmie.
Summit West will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lifts expected to operate are Pacific Crest, Little Thunder, Upper Magic Carpet and possibly Wildside. Plans also call for Jib Creek to open for skiers and boarders that want to catch some air or hit some jibs.
