The Wellington Basketball Club, a founding franchise in the Canadian Basketball League, announced today that Thomas Helsel has been appointed Head of Player Personnel for the team. Helsel has been serving in this capacity since July 2016 and has been instrumental in all strategy involving the screening and acquisition of players for the new team. Helsel, 20, is a junior at the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio and is one of the youngest executives appointed in professional sports.
