Mauricio Pochettino was delighted after seeing Tottenham lay their ‘Wembley curse’ to rest with a dominant performance against CSKA Moscow. Spurs won 3-1, and could have scored 10, having lost meekly first to Monaco then to Bayer Leverkusen here earlier this season.
Pochettino had said that it was a priority for Spurs to make Wembley feel like home and they went some way to doing that on Wednesday night. Pochettino was delighted with the performance, which ended their Wembley troubles as well as showing that confidence has returned to a side that had a very difficult October and November.
